Dr. Christopher Henry at ASRS: New Technique Suprachoroidal CLS-TA
Dr. Christopher Henry recently presented research at the American Society of Retina Specialists (ASRS) Annual meeting in Chicago, announcing results from the phase 3 PEACHTREE clinical trial.
Dr. Henry explained a new technique in which steroids can be delivered via the suprachoroidal space (blood supply around the eye) to treat ocular inflammation. The study found that suprachoroidal steroid treatment improved visual acuity and macular edema (swelling in the retina) in patients with anterior uveitis, intermediate uveitis, posterior uveitis, and panuveitis. Retina Consultants of Houston acted as one of the main sites for the study.
