This year, several physicians at Retina Consultants of Texas were honored as “Super Doctors,” reflecting their unwavering commitment to medical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered care. We are proud to celebrate these exceptional leaders in retinal care and invite you to meet the “Super Doctors” of Retina Consultants of Texas for 2024

How “Super Doctors” Are Selected

The “Super Doctors” distinction is awarded through a rigorous evaluation process designed to recognize healthcare professionals with outstanding accomplishments and a stellar reputation among their peers. Candidates are either nominated by colleagues or identified by the Super Doctors research team for their excellence in the field.

Each candidate is evaluated on ten key criteria:

Years of experience
Hospital appointments
Fellowships
Professional activities
Leadership positions
Academic achievements and positions
Board certifications
Publications, lectures, and presentations
Honors and awards
Other notable accomplishments

Following this initial evaluation, candidates undergo the Blue Ribbon Panel Review, where top-scoring doctors are invited to serve as panelists to assess nominees within their specialty. Points are assigned based on nominations, research, and panel review results. Ultimately, only the top 5% of doctors in each region earn the prestigious title of “Super Doctor.”
