Message to Referring Doctors
Why Retina Consultants of Texas?
Over 2,000 doctors around the world refer patients to Retina Consultants of Texas. See why:
- 24 board-certified retina specialists with more than 20 years of research experience. All of our specialists attended a top-five residency and surgical retina fellowship.
- 23 convenient locations featuring world-class equipment at every location. Our offices feature Optos ultra-widefield FA and a SD OCT for diagnostic purposes. This diagnostic camera is ideal for diabetic patients, macular degeneration patients, and patients suspected of having a retinal tear/detachment, or any other peripheral retinal conditions. We also utilize Swept Source OCT – a wide field OCT scan of not just the macula but the retinal periphery as well, and OCT Angiography – a brand new technology that allows us to view the detailed vasculature and blood flow rates in the various levels of the macula.
- RCTX was the only facility in the world involved in the FDA 510(k)clearance process for Heidelberg’s OCT Angiography Module (OCTA). We provided the necessary support to design, recruit, and test the clinical imaging data, which resulted in the approval of Heidelberg’s new imaging technology, the best-in-class retina imaging technology available. Likewise, RCTX was the only site in the world used to validate the human-use requirements for FDA CMC approval of the REGENERON EYLEA pre-filled syringe.
- We are equipped to diagnose and treat endophthalmitis during business hours at most of our locations.
